Community Rules & Boundaries

To keep AfterLife safe, creative, and free of toxicity, all members must follow these rules. Break them and you might find yourself exiled.

🚫 Forbidden Content

  • Hate speech or bigotry of any kind (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.)
  • Symbols, imagery, or references that glorify hate groups, violent extremism, or known figures primarily associated with such movements (context matters—staff may request removal if something is deemed harmful or intimidating)
  • Pornography is not allowed (this includes real or animated sexually explicit acts). Artistic nudity and non-sexual nude photography are permitted but must be tagged or marked NSFW.
  • Graphic violence or gore (including shock content or real death imagery)
  • Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
  • Spam, scams, or self-promotion without contributing to the community
  • Illegal content or activity (including piracy, drug sales, etc.)
  • Impersonating others, including moderators, staff, or public figures

⚙️ User Conduct

  • Don’t flood comments or forums with off-topic posts
  • Debate is fine, but don’t argue just to argue—no feeding trolls
  • Don’t evade bans or create new accounts to harass or spam
  • Don’t farm upvotes with sock-puppet accounts or sketchy tactics
  • Don’t post personal info (yours or anyone else’s)

🧛 Mod Enforcement

  • Warnings or temporary suspensions
  • Content removal
  • Permanent bans for repeat or serious offenses
  • You can appeal a decision by contacting support, but mods have the final say.

🎵 Artist Page Submission Guidelines

We’re excited to feature musicians on our platform and help fans discover new music. To ensure consistency and quality across the site, please review the following requirements before submitting your request for an artist page:

✅ Eligibility Requirements

  • Official Release: You must have at least one official release (single, EP, or album) that is publicly available on recognized platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, etc.).
  • Professional Production: Submitted music must be professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered. At this time, we do not accept rough demos, test tracks, or casual musical experiments that do not meet a professional standard.
  • Artist Identity: You should have a clear artist name, cover artwork, and consistent branding (no placeholder or temporary materials).

🚫 What We Don’t Accept

  • Unreleased or upcoming projects with no official tracks available
  • Low-quality or incomplete recordings (for example, bedroom mic tests, casual experiments, or random audio snippets).
  • Submissions without proper credits, artwork, or release information
